Every summer, children ages 8-15 gather at YMCA Camp Coniston for two weeks of pure magic.
As a first-timer, campers are welcomed into the community and begin to try new things. They make decisions by themselves–without the help of their parents. They learn to live with others, settle small problems and become more self-sufficient as they try new things. It’s no wonder that parents say their kids come home “different” after their time at camp.
Before sending your child to camp, you should know that Coniston campers return. They return summer after summer because they feel safe–safe from the pressures of electronics, safe to have nice friends, safe to try on a new persona and be goofy. At camp, kids grow to be individuals, all while learning from great staff role models who have been trained in the Coniston Community.
For more than a century, YMCA Camp Coniston has brought quality camping and exceptional learning experiences to kids. It is a responsibility we take seriously, and literally. We hear it from campers and alumni every day… their experiences at Coniston taught them as much, or more, about themselves than almost anything in their lives.

I hope that you will choose Coniston for your child.
