Welcome—we’re glad you’re visiting us today!
YMCA Camp Coniston is a place where kids try things for the first time. Perhaps it is archery. Perhaps it is swimming. Perhaps it is being away from home. Learning to solve problems independently is the first step for your child to learn resilience and self-sufficiency that will help your child successfully navigate the growing pains of adolescence.
There is always a lot going on at Camp, so we hope you explore our website and read more to understand the basics of our program.
Just remember, when it comes to Coniston, people come for the excitement—but they return for the love!
We are a co-ed residential camp located on beautiful Lake Coniston and surrounded by 1200 acres of camp-owned, forested land. During each 2-week camping session, Coniston hosts 400 girls and boys, ages 8-15. The Boys and Girls Camps are on separate sides of Lake Coniston, with shared facilities such as the Dining Hall and Program Lodge and activity areas located between.
Our History
YMCA Camp Coniston celebrates over 100 years of building healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. While you may notice that some things have changed since 1911, our mission remains. We are a community composed of individuals with different backgrounds and experiences. An organization helmed by local, regional, and world leaders and innovators.
YMCA Camp Coniston is an independently chartered YMCA, with its own Board of Directors and complete control over its activity and future.
Our staff is made up of a diverse group of people, each with unique talents, backgrounds and perspectives. Get to know us better by clicking below.
We thrive because of hundreds of volunteers. We invite you to get involved in spreading the good word and helping us to maintain a great Camp.
